His best-known and most-visited work: a ten-foot bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda, installed in 1971 on the Vivekananda Rock Memorial off the southern tip of India at Kanyakumari, and unveiled in 1972 by President V. V. Giri. The memorial draws more than two million visitors a year, making this one of the most-seen sculptures ever cast in India.
