A twenty-foot bronze statue of the social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, commissioned by the Government of Maharashtra and installed at the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai, seat of the state legislature. Alongside the Kanyakumari Vivekananda statue, this was named one of his two best-known works in a 1990 profile in The Independent.
